Candle Experiement

Candle experiment
On Thursday the 29th of June, Rm 4 did a science/maths activity. We were doing an experiment about  how candles go out. We used candles (obviously), jars and matches. So first we got into groups of 3 and got a candle. Mrs Pritchard got the match/gun that blows fire, and lit the candle. We timed how long the candle went for until it went out in a puff of smoke. We found out that bigger jars make the candle stay alight for longer than the smaller jars. That is because the bigger jars can store more oxygen (which the flame needs to survive) than the little jars.

River Song - Rich Learning Term 2

Image
This term our class is learning about rivers for our rich learning. This is our river song that we are learning at school. It has lots of important information about rivers. Like meanders, ox bow lakes, the source, estuarys,  v-shaped valleys & floodplains. We (Holly and Poppy) are bloggers this week so we chose to sing this song and share it with you.
ENJOY!:) (tip - click keep reading to view the video)
